XFX Radeon 4890

XFX is looking to make a splash into the ATI market and bundled their new Radeon 4890 with a copy of Tom Clancy's HAWX game.
It all begins with the XFX Radeon™ HD 4890’s award-winning architecture. This card has a TeraScale graphics engine that features over one teraFLOPS, nearly one billion transistors and 800 stream processors for the highest resolutions and fastest frame rates possible on a single-card system.

Additionally, the XFX Radeon™ HD 4890 utilizes GDDR5 memory technology, which provides twice the data per pin of GDDR3 memory at similar clock speeds. This enables the HD 4890 to support higher data rates for optimum performance. And if that’s not enough good news, XFX also plans to overclock the XFX Radeon™ HD 4890 with XXX and XT versions. Plus, all HD 4890 cards will feature advanced system monitoring, enabling gamers to truly push the performance envelope with the ATI OverDrive™ utility.

Featuring a third generation 55nm chip that uses the industry’s most energy efficient manufacturing process, the XFX Radeon™ HD 4890’s Dynamic Power Management reigns in the power when demand on the GPU is low.

Designed specifically to maximize the latest DirectX 10.1 games like “Hawx,” the 4890’s extreme HD resolutions and mind-blowing performance will transform “how” into “wow.” Featuring high-performance anisotropic filtering and 24x customer filter anti-aliasing, characters and figures come to reach-out-and-touch-them life.

The XFX Radeon™ HD 4890 offers superior scalability with its ATI CrossFireX™ technology capable of up to quad GPU support. And, because it supports PCI Express 2.0, this card is ready for serious action.

The XFX Radeon™ HD 4890 offers an array of features designed specifically for the video enthusiast. The card’s Unified Video Decoder 2 frees up the CPU so that users can seamlessly enjoy even the most processing-intensive content seamlessly, including VC-1, H.264 and MPEG-2. Viewers also can take full advantage of Blu-ray functionality with dual-stream, picture-in-picture capabilities.

The XFX Radeon™ HD 4890 graphics cards also accelerates the conversion of standard and HD video into multiple formats, that can be used on an array of consumer electronics devices. And, viewers can watch the hottest Blu-ray movies or other HD content at full 1080p display resolution and beyond.

DVD upscaling enables viewers to watch standard DVD movies in near high-definition quality, and Dynamic Contrast automatically adjusts the contrast and brightness during each scene for a consistently crisp, vibrant picture.

With today’s intensive games requiring new levels of power, speed and performance, XFX is focused on delivering products that offer the optimum benefits for the best possible gaming experience. From its top-of-the-line overclocked graphics cards to its significantly optimized X Edition cards, every XFX product is crafted to deliver exceptional results.

XFX has successfully paired the “how” with the “wow” to give you one unbelievable—and unobtainable anywhere else—graphics card.
