GreenGT Twenty-4 – smart electric race car


Swiss manufacturer Green GT unveils a very taking concept race car. Called Twentry-4, this magnificent all-electric super car still being under construction is expected to take part in 24 hour Le Mans race in France scheduled in 2011. Designed by 5 students from the CCi du Valenciennois in France, this outstanding prototype is made of carbon fiber chassis as well as a fiber glass body. 

The super car is reported to have between 350 and 450 horsepower while weighing 1 895 pounds. Green GT super car is expected to be accelerated to 60 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds, producing its top speed of 171 miles per hour. The company is going to make 22 cars expected to be within the next 3 years. This stunning electric racing car is expected to become the most modern racing car never seen before. 

This electronically programmed prototype is going to feature racing triangle spring suspension while having Green GT differential gearbox. Its power supply is provided by Flexcell photovoltaic solar panels coming with 2 lithium-ion batteries each capable to produce 30kWh. Its 2 electric engines are both water cooled with 2 x 100kW in total. 

Green GT also incorporates an aluminum brake pad coming with Brembo disk brake made from steel. Wheels characteristics include racing tires coming with magnesium O.Z. rims while torque amounts to 2000Nm rear wheel at 11 000-12 000 revolutions per minute.
