Low emissions solar powered Silent Sentinel UAV

The unmanned aerial vehicle is a last project of joint efforts of Ascent Solar Technologies and Bye Aerospace. It appears to be an unmanned aerial vehicle to be working based on both solar power as well as stored electricity. To create a silent, unmanned aerial vehicle, Bye will be applying FJ33 turbofan motor that would take power from a lithium-ion battery while Ascent Solar will be developing photovoltaic panels to be both thin-film and flexible.

Called Silent Sentinel still being under construction is designed to be used for both military and civilian purposes, like territory surveillance, forest fire observation and so on and on. The technology of combining solar power with unmanned aerial vehicle is not innovative but it happens to have a long term outlook. These new green and clean energy solutions are developed for new era aviation.

This unmanned aerial vehicle is a low emissions drone which is also low weight while ensuring high flying performance as well as higher voltage possible owing to CIGS PV technology. Low emissions are possible due to stored electric power taken from lithium-ion batteries. Photovoltaic panels are more sustainable improving its flight capabilities and ensuring lower emissions rate. The unmanned aerial vehicle includes improved border patrol.
