Xbox 360 Arcade gets the double memory from now on, 512MB overall

Absolutely unexpectedly Microsoft decided to put some more memory in the Xbox 360 Arcade. Even more interesting is that guys from MS didn't seem to hurry up with the announcement but instead just started shipments with bigger flash memory modules. The fact that Xbox 360 Arcade has become double memory richer was discovered accidently when an Xbox hardware veteran has disintegrated a fresh device made for Japanese market.

After the discovery started to fill the Web, official statement came immediately. Following it, the change is aimed for better user experience. Mind you, that Xbox 360 Arcade comes without internal hard drive and onboard flash memory is used by system. Obviously now we can't stop thinking that a firmware upgrade is coming or something in this vein. Or more memory is needed for extra functionality we were told about at E3 – integration with Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. Anyway, the price is still the same – 199 USD.
