BenQ launches ultra-portable Joybook Lite U121 Eco notebook


BenQ launches its newest portable 11.6-inch notebook. It is called Joybook Lite U121 Eco. The netbook is powered by 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor. It has a high quality 1366x768 resolution screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and HDMI output. The Joybook Lite U121 Eco has the optional six-cell battery and it can work up to eight hours.

The notebook comes with a big number of possible storage drive options. User can choose between 160 GB, 250 GB, 320 GB and 500 GB hard drives. The options for a solid state drive are also wide. User can choose from 8 GB up to 32 GB. The Joybook Lite U121 Eco comes with Windows XP Home or Linux Lite installed. The virtual memory is 1 GB in standard but can be upgraded up to 2 GB.

The connection to the world is provided by an 802.11 b/g/n WLAN card. Also the netbook has Bluetooth 2.1 and HSUPA. A built-in 1.3 megapixel camera is an ideal variant for video conferences. The audio functionality is provided by 2W speakers.

The price of the Joybook Lite U121 is not officially announced. The netbook will be available in white and blue colors.
