First ever commercial electric aircraft to be flying in the air

There was a time when we could be overwhelmed by a new electric car. Now it seems to be normal to know about the first ever electric airplane. This electrically powered airplane is reported to be the first commercial electric airplane in the world. This tantalizing electric aircraft is available next year for 89 000 USD.

This sustainable flying marvel called the Yuneec E430 is a dual seat aircraft which is powered by a single electric engine. This zero emissions model of airplane is made of light weight composite material and requires 3 hours for a charging via a domestic 230 volt power point to produce two and half hours of flight time on a single charge.

It was already tested by pilot Shun Xun to make its first flight in Chine on June 12. This ecologically friendly aircraft offers low maintenance operation. Additionally, the E430 aircraft is said to be very intuitive along with low noise production and no vibration.

Being an LSA class aircraft, the E430 fully electric airplane is powered by a 40 KW engine which is supplied by a 72 kg lithium polymer battery pack. However, before we could fly this environmentally conscious aircraft, we must just keep our fingers crossed until FAA certification testing is finished.
