Koenigsegg’s Quant solar super car - just beyond your imagination


Swedish super car maker Koenigsegg unveils its brand new solar super car with the help of Saab production facility to be recently bought by the company. Called the Quant, this electronic super car is expected to be available within the next two years. First showcased at the Geneva Auto Show in March, this charming sport car is about to harness the solar power.

This captivating sport car is made of thin film photovoltaic coating, aluminum/carbon body, a carbon chassis as well as 3102 mm wheelbase. The new FAES technology makes it possible for the Quant sport car a range of up to 500 km. This sustainable sport car is expected to weigh 1780 kg. Being a fully-electric sport car, the Quant is designed for 4 persons.

The Koenigsegg Quant boasts of its top speed of 170 miles per hour while acceleration is also impressive with 0 to 60 speed achieved for about 5, 2 seconds. This electric monster is supposed to feature a 512 horsepower and 527 lb feet of torque with an electronic engine for every rear wheel.

What is also imposing about the model is its new Flow Accumulator Energy Storage system which has neither harmful materials nor heavy metals with a charging capacity of 20 minutes. Its roof mounted solar panels are also able to power its in-board accessories.
